Foundry Silica Sand
With a capacity of over 1 Lakh Tons per year, Qualicy Industries is one of the largest Silica Sand producers in North Western India. Our primary market and focus area is the Foundry Industry. We are the principal Silica sand suppliers to the major foundries of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Western UP including DCM Engineering Products, Mahindra Swaraj Foundry, Oliver Engg, Shri Balaji Castings, Shilpa Alloys among others.
We produce Silica Sand ranging from 30 AFS to 85 AFS. Our Kolayat Silica Sand has semi rounded to sub-angular , smooth textured grains, SiO2 > 98 %, Acid Demand value < 5 ( cc of 0.1N HCL for 100 gm of sand) and gives excellent Mould strength and Scratch hardness. All these features make this sand eminently suited to various moulding processes and different resins. Our fully mechanized Sand Processing plant spread over 10 acres has inbuilt blending and segregating processes and four stage washing. This gives consistent Size cut-offs, Clay content as low as 0.1% and excellent control over Fines. Three sieve distribution is above 80% .
Total Quality Control
Typically, big foundries have hundreds of Tons of Sand in the System at any point of time and the final casting results depend on a number of factors. Silica sand is a low cost but high effect item in the casting process. Unless consistency of the sand quality is strictly maintained, mould/core quality and consequently the product quality cannot be ensured. This quality consciousness cannot be limited to the engineers and Quality control people. Even the JCB operator who loads the truck or the laborer who fills the bags must be taught his role in quality consistency. We, at Qualicy understand this and take pains to ensure that our customers can rely on us.

Wet Fines Screening at 100-150 microns level and dewatering is a highly challenging field and still evolving. At QIPL, we have developed proprietary techniques and in-house designed machines using a unique combination of processes and screening media to overcome the problems of Screen clogging, Fines removal and oversize contamination to ensure consistent output. Multidecked Linear Motion Vibrating Screens designed by JOEST (Germany) with in-built re-pulping system, River action of Slurry Transportation, PU and Rubber lined parts to protect from highly abrasive Silica, a system of hydrocyclones , Screw Classifiers and Rotary Stacker for Wet Storage of Different products, A water recycling system spread over 4 acres are some of the features of our state of the art Sand Processing Plant.
Fluidized Bed Drying
Our 10 TPH Wesman make Fluidized Bed Sand Dryer Plant is PLC controlled and fed by Vibrating Hopper /Bucket Elevator and Rotary table feeder combo ensuring consistent moisture dependent feed and even Drying of sand. Heat resistant Rotary Conveyor stores the Dried sand in three 50 Ton each Overhead Silos. Supply Trucks simply move under the silos and are loaded from Bag Packing Decks.
